i am thinking of changing my wagon from hk stud pattern to hq stud pattern. this means swapping out the diff and front breaks with hq-wb units, can anyone tell me anything about this.... how hard will it be to do what will i need to change etc.

is anyone seling an hq-wb wreck in victoria or up albury way? no motor or box needed just a rolling shell preferably v8.

cheers

No need to swap out the diff. Just get the axles redrilled and use HQ-WB drums, leaving the HK backing plates. Change to HQ-WB rear wheel cylinders also (bigger bore).

Front discs and calipers bolt straight on, just swap side for side with the calipers

re drilling the stud pattern is quite easy if you are confident doing so or you will have to pay someone. might be cheaper to do what i did found a 69 camaro diff 10 bolt stronger then HQ and already have hq stud pattern. i bought mine which was 3.08 open
