Is there any difference with a TH400, trimatic crossmember for a HQ

Yes. And sedan/wagon/statesman are different to ute/van/tonner.
Best bet is to get a HJ-HZ 308 Statesman one.

different to those 2 is the T350 crossmember too.....
make sure it is a 400 first

Definitley TH400 box alot shorter then a TH350

If crossmember is shorter it's from a ute/van/tonner which won't fit your sedan. TH400 crossmember has flat strengthening plates across each side as well. Just find someone wrecking a HJ-HZ Statesman pre 1979 and you'll find one.
