yeah ive done it too and just masked it, but this time its a dip

i know there is a lot of people say dip fuc*s it, but honestly i reckon they dont know their chemistry well enough. Sandblasting doesnt go anywhere near a seam and any chemicals you lay o

Some years ago a Rolls Royce got rebuilt in England, all they had to start with was the chassis plate. Everything else was put together from wrecked cars and new repro parts.
The vehicle was then sold for several hundred thousand pounds, about $700,000.

Byron i agree totaly. the tags id the car not the body. resored is restored. original is as you said minor mec and paint work.

I dont see the big deal in removing tags for resoring the shell. I didnt with my sandman ute. but i have with my hz gts.

I pulled the tags off my car for the bare metal rebuild. The rivets on the HJ were a comon rivet easily available, the ones I used are the same as what was on it. I built my car to suit me and to drive it. Pre the true vin tag, the only thing the rego dep

Due to the tag stigma thats been going on for years, i have decided to keep my tags on my HQ SS when it gets painted ,I want no doubt put on my car if I ever decide to sell it even more so being a 4 dr and easier to replicate.
