Hj to Wb v8 air con brackets and pump

Are all the brackets and compressors for a 253 and 308 the same all the way through from hj to wb i have a hz and looking for the parts that bolt onto the motor and have found plenty of wb stuff is it all the same ??? cheers Dazza

Hi Dazza.
The brackets are all the same. There are some other minor differences though.
One of the changes many forget when fitting a/cond is that the water pump pulley is different (smaller diameter & machined from billet). Most WB V8s use the Ju |

I think he meant was there different air cond compressors, of which I think there were two the GM or harrison and the vastly superior Sanken (japanese) which are mounted in different places.The Sanken uses less fuel to drive.....I believe

HI muskell.
If you're talking factory-fitted a/cond, there is only one compressor, the GM A6. That's the the big black one which is variously branded Fridigaire, Delco or Harrison. The common one fitted to most Holdens was 12 cubic inches.
