i want to get some main caps for a 308 from a stuffed motor
so as not to rape good rebuilder...call jim 0401 975 612
will trade if ive got something you need....must be in adelaide s.a
or cheap postage ...budget buiding......jim

253 with the same rear main seal will do also. But whatever caps you use will require an align hone.

how many you need???????? just threw 8 253s, and around 13 308s still have access to them though

Luke from sa has got some coming for me ..thanxz alot i will be after more stuff soon ...(budget build 308)ps.....dont throw away 308s..or better still throw them my way.....cheers jim

308s shouldnt be too hard to find. There are heaps of V8 VN-VT getting wrecked with worn out engines. A short should only be $500.

Thanks Byron...ive got a 1973 block 308 standard bore qt2***but it had no caps.
luke has got some for me , ive got a crank coming but the crank might be a rope seal ? dont know yet...just getting a bit from here an there before taking it to the machine s

a few cracked, 3 or 4 didnt sonic up nice on the thrust sides, some where up 60", courtesy of RPM engines, 1 had thrown a rod, all no good, and luckly i think,only 2-3 where tri-pattern, the rest Turbo pattern
