i want to start up my 308 that ive had sitting in the garage for the last year without being touched. i know i should have done a few things before i put it away and turned it over occasionally but i never thought it would be sitting there for that long. my question is should i do anything before i crank it over? i assume all the oil will have run out of the bearings and lifters etc. thanks for any advice.

take the spark plugs out so there is no compression, disconect the coil so you dont go arcing out everywere and crank her over but dont crank for anymore then about 15-20 seconds at a time or you may fry your starter.

I have had to pull off the oil pump, pack it with petroleum je

12 months isnt too long.
byt the time your fuel gets there, you should have oil pressure.
