I've got an X2 manifold that i'd like to put on my red 202. Motor's 40thou over, flat tops, ported head, bigger valves, mild cam, extractors. I wish to run twin Stromberg's. Currently the stock manifold with 2inch strommy runs the standard coil and points dizzy.
I'm assuming i'll need an upgrade, would the electronic setup from a later 202 fit and do the job?
Also, on the manifold there are two ports, one each end. Not for the pcv valve. What are they? I plan to just blank them off.
Any advice is appreciated :-) |

Upgrading to HEI (later 202 electronic ignition) is always a good idea and quite easy to do. Check the links i've provided to show you the way. http://holdenpaedia.oldh...com/Electronic_Ignition

you could always use the optical dizzy off a carby VK, and buy a jaycar EST system to replace the old ****ty one. will give you complete adjustability of your ignition system.

What ever distributor you use (preferably electronic) take it to an IGNITION SPECIALIST and get it graphed to suit the modifications you have done, make sure you have your cam timing details, otherwise you will never achieve full potential out of your eng
