BROUGHAM DIFF'S did the HK 307 v8 come std with 3.36 ratio and was it a salisbury. I think the HT-G 308 V8 broughams came std 2.78 ratio only? with the salisbury.

All Broughams should be 2.78 or 3.08 banjo. Normally LSD in my experience. The lowest ratio Salisbury available was a 3.08

My HT Brougham has the 2.78 Banjo (I've never checked if its an LSD, I just assumed they'd all be single wheelers). The high ratio and extra wieght certainly does make it feel lazy, even with a more open exhaust. In my opinion this is what makes them so n

Its a 308 powerglide rosenberg, 2.5" exhaust the only mod. It would not pull the skin off a rice pudding but is a pleasure to cruise in.

Dr Terry will probably confirm the diff thing, but I am almost certain tha all Broughams were banjos. Either 2.78 or possibly 3.08. Most will be LSD.
Brougham engine boxes go like this: HK - 307 powerglide. HT - 308 powerglide. HG - 308 trimatic. (I |

HK had 307/powerglide/2.78 LSD HT 308/powerglide/2.78 HG 308/trimatic/2.78
Not available with 253, although HK export was to get 253 low comp engine before it was droped.
I always found it interesting that a 307 got LSD as standard but 308 did not

It may have just been a follow on from pre Monaro/Brougham where all V8's were 2.78 LSD banjo??
Thanks for clearing up the Brougham diff thing Warren. It is not info that is easy to obtain. It must be V8 Premiers that had optional 3.08 in a V8 banjo??
