Hi All,
I have just recently bought a WB ute and wish to change the diff to a more highway/fuel friendly 2.78. I am located in WA if anyone can help me. My current diff is a 3.55 LSD. At 110km/h she is reving at 3300 rpm. I just want to bring it down around the 2500 rpm area. If someone would might like to swap diffs maybe,I am open to all suggestions here.
Also the lock barrel on the glovebox is loose and spins around in the door. Can this be tightened in anyway?
And finally what would anyone recommend to add to their oil to give the inards of the engine a good clean. Including brands and products to keep away from too that people have experienced.
Cheers Tim

A 3.08:1 would be a better option, unless you have 400 hp youll run out of puff going up hills with the 2.78:1 IMHO.

You wont want a 2.78 unless you convert the box to an M22. I wouldnt go any taller than 3.08 with an M20. If the diff is a large salisbury (original in a V8 WB) you just have to get the crownwheel and pinion changed - the LSD centre is the same. If it has |
