hi, still going through the process of deciding whether to go 350 chev or 355 holden
and 1 of the things i'm wondering is the hp demands of the turbo 350, 400 and the trimatic
i think i remember seeing 18 hp for the trimatic and about 40 hp for the turbo 400, but not sure

I know you have all that other stuff but if it all needs rebuild Id consider selling it and rebuilding the 308 as a 350 (5.7) and building up the trimatic or replacing it with a rebuilt VK or VL box. The TH400 is a very durable box and I would keep it if |

i really like the idea of the 350 chev, but as you point out, too many things need converting
ill see what the universe sends my way ( meaning, ill prolly hold out for an hq 308 block for the conversion )

how much power do you want? the trimatic should be great unless you are going for a high horsepower bruiser.
