I have a a WB one tonner with a 253 V8, wondering if anyone could give me some tips:

1. How do you remove the cable from the speedometer? Is the gauge and the cable one item and must disconnected from the gear box in order to remove? I had the dash apart but cant seem to get the cable out of the back of the gauge, concerned I might break the gauge applying to much force.

2. Does anyone have a copy of the wiring diagram for the WB? Or know where i can get a copy?

3. I am planning to take out the engine (first time) is there anything I should be aware of before I start?

4. Has anyone done an aftermarket setup on the dash i.e gauges, dash panel. Pics would be great to get some ideas flowing.

5. Does anyone know of a place in Victoria that could knock up a flat bed steel tray, I am after something simple with checker plate deck, intergrated tail lights, and removable sides.

Appreciate feedback

Cheers

The cable just pulls out of the guage. The cable has an integral plastic ring around it that you have to pull back to unlock it.

Buy a Gregory's manual. I think they only do a 6cyl but it's basically the same.

Make sure everything is disconnected be
