Gday Warren,
It definately wasnt a manual body as the floor hump wasnt there in the front of the tunnel. But it was modified for the linkages to clear. It also had the hydraulic clutch.
The car was a Melbourne build.

1) No the only plant that showed auto or manual on its tags was Brisbane, all other pants you have to guess.
2) Well if it was an auto body, with 81837 tags it could have been any of the following:
a genuine auto with parts from a wrecked 350 manual

Engine that was in the car was 350A..ill find out about the hump for the 10 bolt..

 This is a pic of the HT GTS 350 81837 Auto car my brother had. as previously stated it had the big tank, radius rods, hump for the 10 bolt in floor and tank. The tank still had the Edited by user Thursday, 5 June 2008 6:20:19 AM(UTC)

Looks like the car turned out well after the restoration. Without seeing the car though very hard to tell what is factory or not. But very rare for someone over 20 years ago to fit 25 gallon tank and radius rods to a car. Especially when you consider what

The car still survives today. It was an original 1190-10Z 350 auto. from Melbourne that had undergone an upgrade many years ago to a manual complete with radius rods and big tank. The main give-away was the neutral safety switch wiring harness.
