Hi everyone. I'm getting stuck into the rebuild of my LJ and am tossing up between a couple of engine choices. First up is a LS1/LS2 and factory 6 Speed. I like this option because I can get a written off late model car with everything I'll need including a low k motor. It is also easy to make huge power without opening up the engine. Second is a RB30T with Supra 5 speed. I like this because I already have a couple of V8 powered cars and it would be a bit of a change, still plenty of power available but a bit more work to be done engine wise. Any one have any ideas/experiences with either of these combos. Car will be driven regularly on the street so reliability and handling is important. Thanks in advance

you might want to check with your RTA to see what is legal before spending the money.I would think the six would be the easier option.

What about a late model 190kW Alloytec and 5 speed auto?

265 Hemi (even a 245) in a Torry has to be an exciting prospect and even left stock, that Torry would be a misile.
This swap has been done plenty enough times which should make it easy enough to find and correspond with someone who's got one or at least

definitely go with the LS1/LS2. if possible go with the L98, they are about $4500 from holmart, and have more potential than the other LSx engines in holdens. its in the intake ports.
