That is very odd as it is different to W series Holdens (HQ-WB). I wonder why? The BODY plate always was attached first AFAIK hence why they were painted at some plants. Maybe it was because unlike HQ-WB a Torana was almost complete where the Holdens were |

Byron, We think alike. I have spoken with Reggie, Ben Stewart, Warren Turnbull and others at length over many years and we still don't have the answer - probably never will either. It could be due to the fact that the Torana was virtually a complete 'car'

many thanks to all who responded to my cries for help.....
i finally took the compliance plate off and the 4 numbers inscribed are 7557.... that has a PSN of H19557 which by the vehicle master listing I bought makes it an LC GTR with a manufacturing d

hqgts, a few things need clarification here. Is the build date 6/70 or 6/71? In your first post you mention 6/70 but just recently you mention 6/71. On the subject of Dealer #s, just because a car has '000' recorded against it doesn't mean the car is an i

Adelaide tag numbers all begin with an L, so you could have L1xxxxx, L2xxxxx etc.
