hi all.
i have a cleveland v8, from what i can tell it has 2V heads but am not sure if it is 302 or 351??? Engine number is AL4KTG 52870K any help on what it is would be appreciated thanks.. brad

25 year old engine numbers are pointless regarding displacememnt. Drop the sump and have a look youirself,that way there can be no guessing.

Or remove a spark plug and check your stroke.

Check the casting number on the block, i think its on the drivers side on an upside down pad you can only see from under the car or with a mirror. If your sure it's only a 2V a 351C will probably have number like DOAZ-D.

As stated above the best way to tell is remove engine sump and turn your crank over till you see 302 or 351, I have seen engines that claim to be a 351 & there were 302 crank and rods sitting in it!

Snappa's way is easiest 3.00" for a 302 or 3.5" for a 351. Easily distinguishable with a piece of wire down a spark plug hole.

AL4KTG 52870K is from an August 1977 F100 4 wheel drive. AT that time, you could only get a 5.8 Litre Cleveland engine. Therefore, it should be a 351, but you have to check at any rate. Snappa's way is the easiest
