Hi all,

Not on my Holden, but on my 4WD Toyota 60 series Landcruiser. In the last week this vehicle has gone from a start brilliantly first go on gas even on the coldest morning to a hard starting (takes about 5 minutes cranking usually firing then stalling) and when finally running idles OK but splutters down the road and finally picks up about 5 mins later! It seems to not even run on petrol at all now, that used to work fine too! The gas system is only 1 year old! I've done the points and plugs, the leads may be a bit old, any other ideas?? Thanks Peter

Does it have a water supply to the converter that may be clogged? The cold LPG will freeze the water in the convertor if theres not enough flow going through.

They need mixture tuning about once a year I find. Change the plugs every time you change the oil. I switch back to petrol every evening and start on petrol first thing to get some circulatio going through the regulator before flicking over to gas. Even o

Thanks all, OK I'll check the water supply, and the points about 2 months ago, I'll check those too! I'd switch it to petrol last thing if it would run on petrol, that used to be fine too, but now it won't run on it at all!!

Cheers

If there was a lack of coolant entering the converter the car would still start as normal but the converter would freeze and the car die a few minutes later when it freezes up.

I lost all of my coolant about 6 months ago (middle of summer) and the c

i agree with the frozen converter theory ive been on gas for 18 years next time it plays up have a look at the converter it will be covered in frost and the water that suppose to go through it will be frozen till it thaws it will run like a hairy goat
