So the time line that I come up with from the info in AMC would have been:
September 1 the first A9X enters production. Now in those days it probably took a day and a half from welding body to drive off the line (it was this length of time in VP and I

Hi Dr Terry,
As an impending owner of an A9X I was provided with a complete ID kit by a current owner and guru on these cars. I hope you can accept that the compliance plate details and layout cannot be revealed here for obvious reasons. You sure know

Hi Warren,
I use two names here depending on what I wish to talk about. LX SS 5000 is my other name. In reply to the comments you have provided regarding the A9X production schedule, I can add a little more to assist in the understanding of this. I hav

Hi Mike. Good to have your contribution to the forum. My question re: LX compliance, was more about the 1/9 date & the LX series in general as well as a response to your statement:- "1/9/77 is a significant date as this was the start of the 197 Edited by user Tuesday, 12 August 2008 4:18:31 AM(UTC)

That's odd because if the A9X guru had checked what Warren had written for the book then he would have picked up on quite a few things like the total cars built. The chart includes 3 extra. What's the go here? And the options on the cars is another thing

Hi Dr Terry,
This sure can become addictive. From the information I have on the identification of an original A9X, the compliance plate is one important check as I understand the A9X is different in some way. I have a diagram of the layout and the numb

Hi Oily,
Thank you for jogging the old memory. What you saw must be the GMP&A car that Tony Connolly owned. It left Melbourne in the early 80s when he moved to Brisbane. Tony took up a job at Austral Motors from memory. He also had the first HDT 350 Mo

Hi Guys.
Yes Warren, you are being way too hard on yourself. The article was very good, given your original design brief & timeline & as you say its very easy to miss 3 cars in a chart of hundreds.
I agree with you on the race reports. I remember |
