No one at all no the plumbing diagram of the hk proportiong brake valve ?????
anyone with a hk able to check ??? the valve i have is an L' Shape
thanks if sum1 can help otherwise ill have to buy an aftermarket one

Hi oldholdenman.
HKs didnt have a proportioning valve, HQs were the first. Where is this device located on your car.
Are you talking about the brass junction block mounted low down in the RH side of the front sub-frame, under the floor. If so, this |

thanks dr terry, yes it would appear I am one of the confused ones - thanks for clearing that up.
so this switch when installed in late hg would have replaced the handbrake warning light function? how does that work? maybe the light was triggered by ei

My memory of this wiring is not that good, but I can remember that it was a light tan/pinky coloured wire & it went from the switch block thru the connector in the centre of the firewall.
The other bit I can remember is that Premiers, GTSs & Broughams |

Thanks Dr Terry, interesting... maybe Byron or Warren will have more info. From what you say it would be my bet that the wire ran unbundled to the centre of the firewall and then unbundled again on the inside and routed to the back of the handbrake switch

actually probably just one washer with a double wire connector at the handbrake as that would have been easy enough for them to do without rejigging harnesses or anything much.
