Hi All I just changes all the hoses heater hoses on my HQ. Problem is the lower of the two as they go into the core has a slow leak which I cant get rid of no matter how much I tighten the clamp. Core itself is ok I just dont seem to be able to get the connection to seal.
Any tips on how to rectify this??
Thanks for any tips
John

A couple of things to try. 2 hose clamps Narrower hose clamps Hose clamps with a hex head that you can use a spanner/socket on

I'm sure the heater core outlets are different diameter. Are you using the same heater hose ID for both pipes? If so....there is your problem. cheers...mario

Mario is correct. You have to buy two diff diameter hoses to fit the HQ heater. If you have a large hose on the small fitting it wil dribble.

HI Guys
From A process of elimination it would appear that the top hose is approx 3/4" while the bottom one is 5/8". I changed the bottom from 3/4" to 5/8" and that ended the problem Cheers
