Heads cause that on 302W's.

A mate of mine has an XT Fairmont. It started behaving like a kettle so he replaced the heads. Problem solved but one of his new second hand heads dropped a valve and destroyed the engine.

I thought the correct name was an XW GTHO. Phase 1 came about like series 1 does when a series 2 is released eg WB.
Nice XW too. Should be close in value to any other GTHO except for the Phase IV as it's the very first one.

Hi Guys.

Yes, I agree with Byron. Their original name was simply XW Falcon GT-HO, but when the Phase II & Phase III came out, the early ones were retrospectively called either Windsor HO or HO Phase I. I'm not sure that either of these is an 'official'

The correct term is XW GTHO, which is mid 1969 to March 1970. After that the XW was fitted with the 351 Cleveland in GT and GTHO. 302(4.9) Windsor was std V8 in both XW-XY, unless you specifically ordered a 5.8 ltr, then you got the 351 Cleveland in 2 bar

There used to be one of these around the corner from me. The old fella sold it about a year ago. He had it since new. Looked brand new, youd swear it was 5 years old. White with brown trim. I think he got about $15,000 for it.
