Hey fellas. Im thinking of putting a bid on this coupe
http://cgi.ebay.com.au:80/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220271703494&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:AU:1123

but Im wondering if its GTS (no tags with it)??

Is there anything on the body that would identify it as a GTS?

Whats the differnce between a base model and GTS when you have no tags to go by??

All,

The only real way to tell the difference lies in the rear 1/4 panels as almost everything else has been altered/replaced looking at the pictures. If the quarters are the originals, then there will be telltale signs of moulding clip studs (nails) a

It also looks to have base model taillights and boot lid, It seems overpriced, go look at it with someone from a monaro club .

You wouldn't easily get new tags for that coupe. I've spoken to the guys that can get them done (Harrisons), and without actual proof of the car which includes details of original damaged plates, a letter from a Monaro/Torana/whatever club and a stat dec

I agree with JYJ003, the base model had a three on the tree. A big coincidence is the same beige steering/gearshift column and base steering wheel as the dash paint.
Also the woodgrain doesnt match.
Just my 2 cents worth.

I can't see how a decision can be made on looking at the pictures of a bitsa. What a pile of mismatched parts if ever I saw one. I like what shifty350 has said. The more you think about this and look at those pictures the only way to tell what the car was

The bootlid is a kingswood/non gts as it doesnt have holes for the gts boot moulding all the way across (and also has HOLDEN holes)

Hi cloudy, I was having a lend of you with regard to the bootlid. We can all see that someone has drawn in the dust with their finger. The car is a mismatch at best. The answer to the question raised was completely answered by shifty350 as mentioned earli
