when fitting double valve springs to 308 or 253 do the heads need machining or other mods ?

and they are alot stronger than singles.


If nissan motorsport is nismo, then doesnt that make honda motorsport Homo?

The spring pads will need to be machined to suit the new springs if you want the job done proberly

your valve springs should be matched to your cam, very important.

A1 Bogan.

If you are doing a bog standard motor you wont need them. High performance race stuff would work well for a 308 yes, not worth it on a 253. Check with your workshop and see if its not overkill in $$$$ for you. You woudl prob need new seats too for the val

Also some other advise is that if your installing a new cam make sure you run it in as per specs, especially if using double springs. If not then you could damage the cam lobes.
