Another stroker question for you all. is there much diferance in torque between the 355 and 330? i heard the power diferance is minimal its just cheaper now to go 355 because there is so much stuff on the market for them. |

Basically like a 327 to 350 Chev, which is essentially what you are doing as the two Holden strokers are the same bore/stroke as the Chevs. From memory you were going to use early heads so either will be pretty torquey due to the smaller ports.

From what im told a 330 is a 0.060" ofset ground holden crank with chev 2.00" small journal 5.700" rods rods and 327 pistons. with no need to grind block for clearance. but the rods and bearings will have to be machined to suit a holden crank. so by the t |

ive calculated all costs many times, and the best option is either stock stroke or 355. cheaper to go COME 383 than 330.

This is how I understand it to work. The Holden 327 stroker is an offset grind, but the actual stroke depends upon the journals on the target crank. If its standard and you grind to undersize 2" you can get more stroke, but they normally end up at about 3 |

The 350 Chev isnt the most popular V8 in the history of the world for no reason...
Great bore and stroke ratio.
Great power and torque.
The 327 only lasted a few years. The 350 goes on and on.
Why not turn your crummy 308 into a 350.

My thoughts bundybluedog... the way I see it..... the 330/327 will put less strain on your drive train, which no one else here seems to have taken into the equation.
Also the 330 is really just modernising the 308, where as the 350 really is a whole
