Hi guys i read a post on this forum once about holden part numbers ending in either odd or even numbers depending on weather they are a part that goes on the left or right side of a car.

I.E ................if i have a door lock with the part number 123 on it its a left side lock and i have another lock with a part number 124 its to suit the right side door.

Is this true and if so are odds left or right???????

Anyone who can understand this post want to coment??????

It doesnt work this way with later parts, its simply consecutive from one side to the other as the numbers are issued, and it does not follow LH odd/RH even, or vice-versa.

For example:

VS front door shells:
LH: 92044858 (EVEN)
RH: 92044857 (ODD)
Cheers,

Mick

Also doesnt work when parts swap sides. Example, front stubs off HK-HG swapped sides in HQ as the caliper moved from front to back.
