Any tips on filling in holes from WB stripes? I have removed the strips along the side of a WB statesman and the holes are quite large are there any tricks that anyone knows to filling these in...ie im probably going to just bog them up.any help or advice?

best tip.... put the strips back on, easier believe me

AFTER 1972 THERE AINT NO MUSCLE CARS AND MATCHING NUMBERS ARE FOR TIMES TABLES....

using a countersink drill bit, clean out the edge of the hole to make a nice clean surface with some good exposed metal.
Grab a lump of copper (bit of bar) and press it up against the hole from the inside.
Buzz a MIG weld into the hole - starting at the

my old Tafe teacher used to use silver solder to clean up door gaps and fill in old rubber strip holes. it ended up being stronger than the car body and lasted years.

leave the strip on...
if you ever park your stato in a car park, all it takes is one fat guy to park next to you and bam, dinted door. Unless its an all out show car, the strips are there for a reason, and believe me youll be glad you kept them when your

Thanxz all for your help,as mention ive already taken them off,there was problems underneath with rust patches starting to appear etc. to be honest
ive never liked them anyway.There is a new product out ,could be old, called METAL FINISH im using that f

Chandler ,your right! its hard to work with but on opening and closings such as doors properly applied this sets like steel,highly recommend it but as you said ,bastard to work with!
