Hi guys, Ive got 2 manual consol lids, in woodgain.
Nether has the hinges on them and i got a hold of 3.
so what i'm trying to do is,, well basically reconnet the hinges
i have the technique i'm gonna use, it's just i need to know the length from the edge of the lid, to the pivot point on the hinge (refer to picture)
any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
also, the slighty damaged one is for sale with one hinge

The hinges were part of the original moulding and take the two spring clips that hold it open when needed. If you want to keep your original woodgrain and have a lid that works why dont you consider what trubluhq suggested and visit Rare Spares. Get a plai

No, not under the armrest.
The storage space under the lift up lid thats either black, or fishscale, or woodgrain.
The overall length of the console is the same.

mrhqute. are you on about the front lid. not the arm rest. it must be a LH torana console. the HX-Z did not have the front lid.

but the HX-Z does have a small compartment in the front of it which is normally covered up by the insert....and with a diffent console insert (gearshift part) a HQ-J lid can be fitted.

the HJ looks almost identical to HX-Z the WB is different.

as i said, when changing insterts from HX-Z ones can be made to look like HJ. Rares could HJ lookalikes using the HX-Z shells they make.
