if Im standing at radiator looking at Carb there are two small screws on bottom plate....which one is for idle and which one is for mixture and which way to you screw them....if I've got this correct so far....

Both are mixture. In is lean, out is rich. Screw them both in gently till they seat then out 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 turns. Start engine and tune from there. Turn them in/out equal amounts.
Idle speed adjusting screw has a coil spring on it and is near wher

You were kind of half right with both, they both are for idle mixture.

cup your hands over the carb at idle. if the revs pick up slightly, you have the mixture about right.
