hi all,
just need some info about a better ignition system for my hq 1 tonner. it currently has a 308 that been stroked out to a 380. my problem is it takes a while for it to kick over and i want it to start every time as soon as i turn the key. is there anything i can do to get it to this condition??? the motor is fairly new and it does have a fairly new battery.any ideas?
cheers guys

The Bosch HEI system off a Blue/Black V8 is the best all round for street use.

Do Holdens run a ballast resistor set-up on the ignition system?

If they do then maybe your ignition is only getting 6volts on start-up.....make sure the wire that feeds a full 12volts to your coil whilst the startermotor is turning over is hooked up
