im looking at buying a hq ute that has a 308 that has been stroked. my concern is the motor is a new block and there for has a new engine number then whats on the rego. the motor has been built and has receipts from a top performance engine builder so its all legit. How hard is or will it be to register it with the new engine number when its time for rego again?
thanks

Hi, Cody try wiggling the plug into the dfi module, where the spark plug leads are, some say it,s the plug some say it,s the circuit board inside.
i would prefer to put on a scan tool also maybe check fuel pressure as well.

A quick crank-angle sensor(CAS) trick, is when it does fail, and wont restart, pour cold water down the front of the motor (aiming behind the harmonic balancer/bottom pulley) and if it restarts after doing that, it narrows it down to the CAS.

Cheers,

Mick
