im looking at buying a hq ute that has a 308 that has been stroked. my concern is the motor is a new block and there for has a new engine number then whats on the rego. the motor has been built and has receipts from a top performance engine builder so its all legit. How hard is or will it be to register it with the new engine number when its time for rego again? thanks

A quick crank-angle sensor(CAS) trick, is when it does fail, and wont restart, pour cold water down the front of the motor (aiming behind the harmonic balancer/bottom pulley) and if it restarts after doing that, it narrows it down to the CAS.
