Mines just a poo brown EH special on gas...runs a stock 202 with 4 barrel impco bolted to it.

can i still go column auto with a 308 or is it easier to put it on the floor. Also dont some of the 308s have a prob with the crank sensor i think the blue but not sure.

i think your mixing up your motors,308 blues dont come with a crank sensor
its the black injected ones from vn onwards
main prob with a 308 is wear and tear and the rear main seal leaks
but seeing as your doing a conversion you should replace it while
marge pass me my gun

O.K. So im leaning towards a 308 with a TH 700 and column shift out of the VS ute.

Sound about right?

I have been trying to find the dimensions for the TH700 so my tunnel can b modified but cant seem to find anything. Also will i have any trouble regoing in NSW

Well I have just read the last 3 pages on this topic and all there seems to be is a hell of a lot of advice from people that dont seem to know a lot. Anyone that suggests you put a V6 in as a "better option" basically needs their head twisted on tighter,
