Hi All
I have a new base model VZ ute.It is not going to be used for work as such,it will later however tow a single axle caravan.Being a ute it is fitted with bridgestone RE-88 tyres 205-65 on 7" rim's.My wifes VX sedan is fitted with bridgestone ER-30 tyres on the same rim's [ex police vehicle.]My question is am I able to fit a set of the sedan tyre's to my ute,or do I have to stay with ute rated tyre's.
Cheers.

Check your rego, if its registered as a commercial vehicle it must have commercial tyres.

The commercial utes such as Rodaygos and Hiluxs etc that are rated as 1 tonne require light commercial tyres.

Showpony utes are only rated at 1 bag of potatoes and can run a standard radial.

Look at the tyre placard - it will specify minimum load & speed ratings for the tyres you are allowed to run on the vehicle.
