just wanting to know why an oil filter would have all the guts of it caved in. thanks

thanks heaps ill drop the new oil and see if its crushed this filter and go from there.

When in the engine reco business we had a few collapsed filters take place on 253/308 and all were fitted with new after market oil pumps,changed to original pumps(new and second hand)and no more problems. Are you using a new pump??? AL.

Was it the large or smaller reto filter? As the large filter would have more paper and larger surface area to pass more oil with less restriction? Is that right lads?
