gday all just wondering if a banjo 3.55 lsd centre would fit into my 3.36 open wheeler in my hg sedan? i know the axles will be different but will it bolt straight in? its to go behind a mild 308 wil shift kitted trimatic and used as a weekend cruiser. any other suggestions for diffs would be great cheers crocky

Yes it will fit in using your axles if it is a coarse spline LSD. Honestly though I wouldnt bother if its just a weekend cruiser. LSD is more likely to break and 3.36 is a better ratio for 308 trimatic.

There are 2 different types... course spline and fine spline. If your lucky the 2 centres will be the same... otherwise you will need the matching axles.
However I would not use a banjo behind a V8... pretty piss weak. Commodore diffs seem the way to |

commodore diffs are only popular because of their abundance in places like pick a part etc. you will pay $100 for one, and if you scrounge around, you may even get a limo, and a 3.08 ratio as most of them are. you can also do gear changes easily. all yo

hey guys thanks for quick replies. would the banjo i have in it (open wheeler pretty sure its coarse spline axles) hold up to the occasional foot planting (no burnouts tho)? i have heard that the vn diffs fit straight in, can i still use rear drums tho? i

hey guys just a quick question, with lsd banjos is it possible to swap gears from a none lsd centre? ie if i have a 336 non lsd centre and i wanted to swap those gears with the gears in my lsd would it be possible? also the difference between fine spline

you can interchange crown wheel and pinion between 3.36, 3.55 or 3.90 if you have 3.08 it can only be changed with 2.78 all the bango diffs became fine spline some time in 76 I thought, some one will correct me the exceptions were the 73 XU1 and L3
