My 202 is richer than Bill Gates after a lotto win!
And it proves that the highly reputable race shop that did my tune simply ignored my request to check the ratios.
Its a reasonably worked 202, X2 setup, but with two single stromberg carbs (1 5/32) rather than the smaller factory twin setup. I've known it's rich for a while, mentioned it other topics. Had it on an analyser, and after fixing the idle, i ran it at revs on the main jets, and it read 10.2/1!!!!!
I'm looking at altering main jets, power jets and maybe even machining up a little restrictor tube for the venturis, which i'm told was fairly common "back in the day".
I haven't yet pulled the main jets to check size, but i thought i'd see what people have to say so i can muse as i work.
Cheers. |
