Does anybody know where i can buy seat belt bolts/washers/mounting plates from in Brisbane? Im hoping i can buy a kit, as i have seen them on the U.S. sites.

most engineers will tell you what they want from a mounting plate and most wrecker will have the bolts you need

Maybe not.

If its for up to HK-T then you will need 7/16" UNF bolts which are not that easy to find, I might be wrong here but I think that sometime around 1970 seat belt bolts were changed to 7/16" UNC.

To my knowledge most seat belt bolts in the aussie cars were always 7/16 unf and still are , as i recently had some Nasco Accessory HK Rear Parcel shelf Seat belt Mounting plates made up , and the special resistence welded "weld" nuts which i could not ge

new cars using 7/16th bolts? why would they use unf bolts in a metric car, when they have been metric for along time?

im not saying they dont use them, just that it seams strange that they would

Thats what i thought,but thats what they said to me , as otherwise they would have rejected making them for me. I may pull one out of my commodore tomorrow and check it out ?

i think they still are 7\16 unf, fords still use 1/2 inch unf for the wheel stud,s i remeber commodores like vn extra on the engine one bolt was metric the next thing was imperial a real pain in the ass,
so while now most things are metric every now and

vl onwards use a M14 fine bolt from memory. maybe even M16.

Monaro Muscle Parts. I bought a pair of your plates for my HK and can highly recommend them.

I visited a wrecker recently and pulled a full set of belts out of a HJ sedan and the bolts were coarse threaded.

I thought Id read somewhere on th

Thanks guys, but i do need the backing plate/big washer as the back of the car doesnt have threaded holes.

He has them with the weld nut on the plate, read the other replies.
