Hey, I'm thinking of putting a different gearbox in my 2002 Statesman, what options are there for a bit more power but still a nice ride around town? I probably wouldn't bother but the origanal gearbox is feeling a bit sloppy and worn. What sort of price would I be looking at to replace the stock gearbox and would it be heaps more$ for one thats a bit quicker. what sort of KW would an after maket box add.
So I've just bought this car not very long ago and I am looking to customise it, Any recomendations would be great. I'm a first time holden owner and am very happy with my puchase but there are too many cars exactly the same as mine. This could end up being quite a big project in the end so any Input about posible improvements would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance. Mick

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |

my VX SS was the same. after the box died i got a 4L65E put in and set up a cold intake from a Monaro. that was a good power gain for the money. you can buy them for around the $15 mark. much better than SS inductions. its Mafless tuned which cost me $500
