Morning all, I have a twin headlight HZ Tonner and recently high beam has stopped working. Low beam is fine , but when I click high beam all lights go out. Have tried most usual things, loose wires, connectors etc. All advice welcome. Cheers

most likely a dead short in the high beam wiring go through it carefully and see if there are any bare spots touching the body. also likely villian is the dipswitch they can short internally. only fix i know of is replacement.

When you say twin headlights, do you mean 2, or 4? Is it factory wired, or a later modification? If it's wired with a changeover relay for low/high beam (meaning the low beam normally goes out when the high beam comes on) you most likely have a dead contact (the normally open contact) on the changeover relay, or the associated wiring is bad. You should be able to find the relay easily, as it will click when you pull on high beam. Probably under the bonnet. Try tracing the wiring from the back of the high beam lamp and see where it leads. Hopefully it will arrive at the relay. Edited by user Friday, 11 September 2015 1:21:53 AM(UTC)
