Hi guys. I've just bought the next project for the shed. An HJ tonner. My question is regarding the bonnet and wiper panel. The two lines/ ridges on the bonnet do not match or line up to the lines/ ridges on the wiper panel. The bonnet lines are a lot wider than those on the wiper panel. The guards have 2 bolts under the inside kick panels. All tags match the chassis number and appear to have the original rivets in them. Could the wiper panel have been changed? No tell tale marks, bog etc.any help much appreciated....... Cheers"..........Brian

Standard HJ-HZ cab-chassis use the same basic front sheetmetal as HQ - they didn't change until WB. There was a special vehicle package introduced during HJ called BO6 - Ambulance. It had the HJ-HZ cowl panel and had Premier front sheetmetal and was the only way you could get a 5.0L engine in a cab-chassis, but the vast majority of them were like yours.
Your guards and front panel aren't original to the car.

Hi Brian , Hj 1-tonners still had HQ type cowl ,( with HQ guards & bonnet ) someone has probably put HJ/X/Z guards & bonnet onto the 1 -tonner so they do not now match . Mark.
