Hi all
Anyone here have or know of a very original 6cyl HQ from this period? If so can you check if it has a Lucas or Bosch alternator? |

Was out at home on the weekend and have a 9/73 Hq but it's missing the alt so any other bits to identify as in external reg etc which might help you out? I'm heading out again This weekend .

Unfortunately without its alternator you can't tell, you couldn't even tell if it had the Lucas alt i'm looking for. But, can you have a look at the side of the block just above and between the two alternator mount bolt holes and see if there is any mark cast into the engine there? If it does can you get me its engine number and the VIN tag details? |

No worries will have a look this weekend also have a heap of tag photos from a few around my way I was sposed to get to you ages ago will try and organise that also

Hi hk just checked out 9/73 Hq no alt or casting mark, 10/73 no alt and no casting , also checked a 5/73 and it's got an alt but not Lucas and no cast mark . I do remember the old bloke said he had changed the engine in the 9/73 once or twice, so I'm no help to you.
