I was hoping that someone could help me out with the colour and trim style for my 1965 EH Panel Van.
The Id is as follows:
Body: EH2104M-S10-2604A Trim: 900-C54 Paint: 568-0046 Insert: Top:
Additional Id below: P007346
As far as I am aware it was owned by the Post Master General service (Australia Post).
Regards,
Trevor

Yes, it sounds like an ex-PMG EH van.
568-0046 is the Dulux code for Mercury Red, which was the red used on PMG vehicles in that era.
900 = Mercury Red all over (single tone) C54 = Elephant Grey interior trim
EH2104M = EH panel van with manual trans S10 = Govt, equipment package 2604A = 2604th EH van to be built in Adelaide
The 'additional ID' mentioned is the tag number, fitted at the assembly plant. In this case P = Perth
The chassis number, stamped on the RH inner guard, should also have a P suffix.

Thanks Dr Terry for that information, it is very helpful. Do you know if the seat, door trim, and headlining were all the same colour? When I purchased the car, the headlining was the off-white/possibly light grey colour in a brick pattern (I think this was original); the seat was in poor condition with ripped cloth; and the trims were a dark red with stitching (so most likely not the original). Do you know what the pattern styling for the seat and door trim would be? I noted some upholsterers mention their styles of C36, C35 etc but i can't find the style for C54. I also note a previous thread that you responded to, which was in regards to a PMG Ute. this had an elephant grey interior. Is it likely that the styling from that vehicle would have been the same? http://www.fastlane.com....st30049_EH-Ute-PMG.aspx Would the seat have been vinyl or cloth? Trevor

The headlining sounds to be correct & originally it was an off-white.
There were no cloth seat coverings in EH. All except Premier were in 'elascofab' vinyl, while Premiers were in leather.
The patterning style of the seat & door trim for utes, vans & standard sedans & wagons were all the same, only the colour differed.
They were either Bolero Red, Columbine Blue, Triton Green, Palais Green or Elephant Grey & all in single tone.
Specials had 7 different trim colours, but theirs were in two-tone.
