HQ Coupe quarter window fitting Need Help

I am trying to get the rear quarter windows in my HQ Coupe to stop in the correct position and am failing miserably. I have pulled one side out again and looked at what the rollers are doing in relation to the tracks. A previous post mentioned adding metal to the track to make the window stop in the correct position, I think I can see how this would work but I thought I would ask to see how others have gotten round the problem before I mess with things. Basically the windows tip forward at the top and therefore don't line up with the door windows. Any suggestions gratefully accepted. Especially if somebody knows a technique for setting up these windows, I am sure they worked originally, but the usual story, a few new bits and put it together again ten years later.............

I had all sorts of dramas fitted these to my Brother's HJ coupe.
i could get the non tinted glass to fit perfectly, but the tinted glass just would not sit properly. You could wiggle it when fully up and then it would start to fall.
i had three sets of glass and two sets of runners and mixed and matched all i could. Wish I could say i got it solved.

Firstly it may depend on if you purchased new glass and where from. Then where you are located. Bob Pyz at Rare Spares Melbourne 03 9305400 may be able to advise next week Dec 29th as he has fitted many of these.

I have had some help from a friend who builds cars and rods in relation to the quarter windows. On examining how the window rollers run on their tracks we could see that towards the to of their travel (window up) the rear roller was off the track which allowed significant movement in the window, resulting in being unable to stop the windows in the correct position. We have added metal to the upper section of the rear track so that the rollers are in contact all the way and the window is unable to tilt forward and back whilst in the up position. So far this fix is looking good. A little bit of fine tuning is required on the drivers side, but the passenger side is good and drivers side very close.
