Hi fitzsi.

The clutch is made up of various separate items, it very much depends on which part is 'shot' & what the problem is or what caused it.

The 3 main parts are the clutch hub (the flat front plate), the pulley & bearing (the bit that the belt sits on) & the magnetic clutch coil (the electrical bit which pulls in the clutch hub).

If the coil is open circuit, that an easy one. A new coil is around $180-$200, but the other 2 pieces need to be removed to fit it.

If either of the other 2 are crook, there maybe other dramas, so it's usually prudent to replace the whole compressor ($600-$650) rather than waste money replacing items bit by bit, in search of the original problem.

A good clean 2nd compressor is another option. Just get a pro to check it out & get it re-oiled, before fitting & gassing.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0
