The tanks are interchangeable from memory apart from the cars with Salisbury rear axles. I have in the back of my head a memory about the tank breather location on maybe later HG, can't remember for certain though. You'd just have to check part numbers to be sure on the breather. |

Rare Spares makes the sender units for the HKTG series including the just released Bathurst Tank one. The tanks are under consideration for the future. The 1st sample of the HQ style just arrived for testing. Once these are approved the next step may be the ones you are after. It also depends on getting suitable samples for production.

Sedan, coupe, wagon and van 16.5 gallon standard tanks are the same for HK, HT and HG within the same model. The 16.5 gallon tank for HK has a centrally located vent outlet at the upper front of the tank which drains to the filler neck. This tank, 7448555, was carried over to early HT. Later HT had the vent on the upper right hand side of the tank, draining to the underside of the vehicle through a hairpin loop vent tube. The only part number which is carried over between HK and HT models is the 7448555. The part number for the equivalent HG tank is different. Edited by user Sunday, 7 February 2016 11:13:35 AM(UTC)
