Hi All Working my way through the wiring loom on the HT Monaro and can't figure out what the black plug below is for. It is in series with the white wire that goes to the passenger side door switch for the interior lights. The globe holder in the shot is the one for the passenger side under dash. Any idea what the square plug was intended for? It is not a spade plug but the same internals as the larger engine bay plug- just a single. It must go to another switch that would ground it out for the interior lights to activate but it was not connected when I dismantled the car and I can't see it on the wiring diagram. Cheers Jacko

That plug loops to the rear door switches on Brougham only. Other four door models have no rear door switches.

Oops. Right you are. Premier does indeed have rear door switches. Only Monaro and Brougham have rear quarter lamps. In Monaro they are switched from the front door switches (obviously...). In Brougham they are switched from all four door switches. The connector shown is only used for the left hand rear door switch on Brougham. Brougham also has a rear compartment light, separately switched whereas other sedan models have a dome lamp.
