I have attached photos of some of these clips from my car. Some of the photos are of clips that are broken and hard to find replacements for (see an earlier post in Technical Talk - "HK Monaro handbrake return spring location")
I am unsure of the correct location on the car for a couple of the clips in the photos; one is possibly a battery cable clip (photo 8) & the other a small fuel & brake pipe clip (photo 4). Appreciate any suggestions on the correct location for these clips on the car or any other places to buy the hard to get single brake pipe and double brake pipe clips.

Pretty sure clip 8 is for the fuel pipe just in front of steering box

And there should be 3 (I think) of clip 4, placed fairly evenly along the brake/fuel lines where they run along the RH sill. I do have photos from when I pulled mine apart but can't seem to find them but will keep looking. The ones I pulled from mine were green like the bonnet cable clips.

Good idea to start a new thread Gerard. hopefully all the info will be in one place, and Mick Commodorenut will be happy.

Photo 1 is SP1410. Obviously, it should have a spring tang on it. HKTG all use 2 only. Both are located along the inner face of the RH sill. One is about 100mm behind the point at which the first floor pan cross brace joins the sill, and the second about 100mm behind where the second floor pan cross brace joins the sill. The brake line has a kink in it to accommodate the spacing between the brake and fuel lines at the first clip.

Photo 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7 are SP1836. HK differs from HT and HG in the quantity and usage of this clip. For HK, up to three in total are used. One is for the bonnet cable, one is for the LH front brake pipe after it leaves the firewall and travels below the subframe rail, located just forward of where the rail splits into a Y, and one is used on Salisbury equipped cars only to secure the brake pipe to the rear "chassis rail", just behind the front spring eye.
HT and HG do not use this rear clip, as the brake pipe arrangement is different on HT and HG Salisbury.

Photo 4 is 599119. HKTG all use 1 of these clips for the same purpose. It secures the Fuel and brake lines together at the rearmost edge of the front spring hanger, forward of the fuel line encasing spring.

Photo 8, 9 and 10 are, I believe, 7434218. This is located on the inner gusset of the subframe, adjacent to the end of the steering column, and secures the fuel pipe only. HK, HT and HG parts books list two of these, one under Group 3.202, and one under Group 4.685 and describes one as being for securing fuel pipes, and the other for securing brake pipes, in the same location. The clip is the wrong diameter for brake pipe, so I believe this is an error. I've only ever been able to find one on the car.
Hold your breath when you try and bend the tang on that one back, particularly as its been plated. The tang should be perpendicular to the lower face of the clip.

Photo 11 is mystery to me at the moment. It looks like 2806758, which is for HT and HG, but not HK. I'll update this post when I know more.

Photo 4: appears to be the opened version (ie someone has pried it opened) of the clip that is around the fuel and brake lines in my second photo. This clip secures the two pipes while a second clip secures the brake line to the chassis rail.

Photo 11 looks to be the same as photo 1. See my photo in the other thread and it is the same clip near the steering box. My first photo has the 'kink' referred to by GM

Can the admin pull those other photos across?

This is SP1410







This is SP1778. That clip belongs near the fuel pump, clipped to the inner skirt of the subframe to hold the fuel line. If you look closely you can see that it has a tang on the rear to clip into a hole. It looks like 599119 as well, which is surprising.

I have attached some more photos of the pipes and clips before and after dismantling. Tried to put them in order from the rear to the front.

Got a few questions:

1. Did you mean Photo 4 (not Photo 6) in regards to the clip near the fuel line encasing spring. I only have one of these as you note.

2. I missed the third SP1836 clip near the spring hanger as I didn't take a photo of the pipes there, (hole is there)

3. In regards to Photo 11, I am wondering if this is a clip from a H.G. I had (that I have taken bits from) I thought that photo showed the clip from my car (located below the power booster as you have described)

SP1410 looks very similar or the same as 2806758 cable pipe retainer 3/4" & 5/16". Rare Spares is looking at the 2806758 at present with a possible manufacturer.

I bought these clips from Kingswood Country, http://www.ebay.com.au/i...dc7e:g:5uoAAOSwB4NWz5i7 and they turned up in a Rares packet. They look exactly the same as number 11 or 2806758.

Photo #2,3,5,6,7
I've got a couple of clips spot welded on "just behind the front spring eye" as you mentioned but not one of these clips.
My car had one for the bonnet cable, one for the LH front brake line, and I think it had one up under the diff for the final section of the brake line.
Cant remember exactly but this clip dosent look like its welded on does it.

thanks for chipping in. The bands which secure the brake line to the fuel line are part number 599119. It looks like, in spite of a quantity of one in the parts books, that they are used in 3 or 4 locations.

The clips you show on the sills x 2 are SP1410, which is 3/16" + 5/16" to secure brake and fuel lines together. They have a spring tang which secures them into a 1/4" hole in the sill, and are hard to remove without breaking them. there is also one on the LH subframe rail.

The clip you show near the rear shock absorber mount is SP1836, and is just the 3/6" part of SP1410. It is also secured by a tang in a hole. I don't believe it is spot welded.
