Need a new front windscreen, been told the chrome strip in rubber not available and have to use the normal commodore one. Can anybody find one for me?

It was hard enough to find someone who had one stashed in 2004 when I did one in a VS Calais.
I would say impossible now. Haven't even seen one from a profiteer on eBay for well over 5 years now.

The "normal" commodore one is simply a generic rubber extrusion, not even shaped anymore, but that's the most likely outcome.

Perhaps a really good windscreen fitter might be able to salvage it for you?
It's only embedded in the urethane, so with a bit of care, it could probably be extracted.
Cheers,

Mick
