Would appreciate any help with the paint code for "Machine Black" or the correct paint colour for the engine bay & boot.

There isn't really a correct colour from what Warren has indicated before. It's Warrigal black mixed with whatever was left over from the previous shift. Very early HK GTS Monaros had gloss Warrigal black engine bays but later it became a satin finish.

Big Tag - HK569A-03597B = HK Prem Sed Auto 03597 Brisbane, what does 03597 mean? 3597th Prem?
Trim - 1162-12T = Yulunga Maroon (no inserts).
Paint - 587-10686 = Burgandy Metallic.

3597th HK from the Brisbane plant (this is the BODY number).

5041st vehicle from the Brisbane plant since 1/1/68.

HK04711BB - just a sequence number for HK bodies from Brisbane. Is actually the chassis number. In a perfect world should be the same a
