I'm planning to get my radiator core replaced soon I'm just shopping around to see who has a core close to the original look.

Theres a small sticker on the side and I guess its the patent design number 51473 with a date of /67 maybe?
Just thought I'd show off the 48 year old sticker before I peel it off, probably something no one ever notices.
I'll re-apply it after paint and no one will even know its there.

Is my radiator cap the correct one?

Shame you don't have access to an original core. I found one for the Warwick Yellow V8 GTS we have, and found another in a UC with a 283 SBC in it that i'm keeping to re-core another for one of the 327's. Those old ones seem to really last well. I wonder if the core in the second type is the same as the others?

I have attached some photos of the original radiator from my car (5 litre manual HK Monaro) and another one from a 5 litre HK Monaro auto. The auto has had a 3 tube core fitted and looks fairly original. May get the auto one checked and if it is ok fit it, or consider a 350 HQ aftermarket original type radiator. I think the 350 HQ version may need some mounting bracket modifications?

Very happy with the new core its as close as you can get to the look of the original.
Happy with the fins per inch and tube spacings and a very neat job.
Core was designed by C & C radiators and then hand made in Adelaide before returning to C & C for completion.

Thanks to Red from http://ccradiatorsadelaide.com.au
Been in the same location for 40 years and knows his sh!t.
