The 1969 Carter carbs are very different. I'll send you pictures of one if you PM me your email address.

That is right for a very early HT GTS350 manual. Later cars have a different format.

That is not an early HT GTS350. Early is pre release production or the first few hundred cars. What you'd be looking for is the 3rd type I mentioned in post #7 of this thread.

ok thanks for clearing that up..i have someone who has a 327 but the stamping of the engine number is a bit up and down so I am a bit dubious of buying it ..did they stamp them roughly sometimes or should it be in a straight line..it is 32742379 not sure if date code matches it is T1121H5, there is a date on back of block J207.. heads have K157... inlet J307 of course the carby is missing as per normal..do you think all these numbers correspond, has correct casting numbers on heads and block for early 327..thanks again, your wealth of knowledge on these cars is a big help to me and I am making notes of a lot of this stuff I am learning for future reference, cheers benny..

Some were rough, but that is not a GTS327 engine number so it has been made up by someone.

should be 78 on the end not 79, just cleaned it up with a bit of sandpaper..probably doesn't make a difference by the sound of it, and explains why it is stamped a bit here and there..thanks..

Just found a 29283 0159 been sitting on a farm the last 40 odd years. Would this be for an early HT 350M ??

Yes. I have the same carby here. We know that the first HT GTS350 had a HK carby (same carby just stamped differently), the Verdoro Pagewood 1-H5 car. However they must have only a few remaining and that carby you have would have been used on maybe the next maybe 100 cars give or take.

The first cars. Not sure what that means in months, but remember they built lots of cars for release.

August 1969 is HT.

You need the straight 7029283 if your HK has the Canadian 327 and after December 1968. In my experience the hardest GMH Quadrajet to find.
